A Message from Winchester Citizens Advice

To everyone in Winchester District

This is an extremely challenging time for everyone in our community.

As a local charity we provide free, independent advice to people in Winchester District who are facing problems with benefit, debt, employment, housing and much more. Many people will need us over the coming months, and we are determined to be here for them.

We have around 100 volunteers and staff who work tirelessly to support our local community. Many of these wonderful people are themselves within the higher risk groups and have been continuing to provide our services throughout the current pandemic.

To ensure we can continue to provide these services, and to reduce the risk of infection to our volunteers, staff and clients, we are now channelling all our efforts and resources into telephone and email advice.

We are also liaising with community groups and organisations who are working hard to establish ways of providing practical support to our community over the coming months. We’ll share ways of accessing these services or volunteering for them as soon as we can.

Throughout this challenging time – and as the peak fades away – we will be here, continuing to support the community as we have done for 68 years.
